Using a snowball effect, if you can eliminate a player and capture his cards, you can then exchange those card for more bonus armies and repeat the process against all the remaining players on the board. Holding Continents If at all possible, you should try to capture an entire continent and defend all the entry points heavily. Even a small continent is beneficial because you will accumulate armies faster than the other players. In the traditional map, Australia is one of the most desirable continents to possess. Even though it is only worth 2, it is easy to defend because there is only one connection leading into it.
